Former FedEx and Livingston executive joins Tru to build the trade infrastructure for the future of imports.
NEW YORK, NY, October 6, 2026 — Tru Identity today announced the appointment of Jes Crownover, PMP, MBA, LCB, CCS as Head of Global Trade.
Crownover brings senior leadership experience across global trade, cross-border operations, e-commerce, digital solutions, and compliance. She spent almost 12 years at FedEx across five operating companies, then held leadership roles at Livingston International, most recently as Vice President of e-Commerce & Digital Solutions.
“Tru is building something the trade industry needs: a more compliant, safer way to move goods,” said Crownover. “I trust Hugo, and I trust the integrity behind the decisions Tru will make. Tru's partnership with CBP is a milestone for this industry in and of itself. It validates what I have been hearing about the company’s ability to build technology that matters in the real world.”
At FedEx, Crownover began in strategic pricing before moving into global initiatives and global accounts. She later served as Global PMO for FedEx global projects and presented the company’s global scorecard quarterly to executive leadership. At FedEx Cross Border, she served as Strategic Development and Operations Manager and Acting Managing Director, leading the business’s P&L and growth.
At Livingston, Crownover joined to build the U.S. e-commerce business and expanded her role. Her responsibilities included business line ownership, technology development, business development, and operations across multiple lines of business in multiple countries, serving as an executive decision-maker for North America.
“Technology has changed the game in compliance,” Crownover said. “No one has it exactly right. The power of data is moving into technology. The companies that combine deep trade expertise with data and technology will be the ones that do well and find success.”
“Jes has built and led teams in the parts of global trade where the work is hardest and the stakes are highest,” said Hugo Pakula, CEO of Tru. “She understands the operational reality behind compliance. Her experience will help Tru build the infrastructure trade teams need as change continues to accelerate.”

With CF-29 enforcement up 148% in Q2, "responsible supervision and control" is no longer theoretical, customs brokers need documented proof of who reviewed each entry, why they classified it that way, and which tariff rules applied at the time, or face penalties and license suspension
